Happenings of the Sacramento Horse Community
Possibly one of the most popular activities to watch at Horse Expo is the sale. The sale has outgrown it’s usual locations and was presented in the large rodeo arena (Ram Truck Freedom Arena) so everyone could come and watch. The wind made for some exciting moments, but both horses and riders managed it well. There was a vast variety of horses from the usual performance Quarter Horses all the way to a zebra.

Last month SacHorse.com traveled to the famous Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale at the Tehama County Fairgrounds in Red Bluff, CA. Â The Bull & Gelding Sale has lots to see. Â For the equine enthusiasts there are multiple events in which horses and mules are worked as they are in preparation for the Gelding sale including shown at the halter, roping, and ranch exercises. Â For the ag enthusiasts there is the whole world of beef production on display plus the workings of that vital ranch tool, the working cow dog. Â Throw in a trade show, art show, bull riding and the “Sale” is not to be missed. Â Join us in this photo essay as we spend an afternoon walking the grounds and showing you the sights right up until that exciting Friday night of the Gelding Sale.
