Groundwork Clinic Series with Justin Nicolson

August 1, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Learn firsthand the real meaning behind “groundwork” and how it can improve the relationship between you and your horse in a fun, new way!

We’ll be covering some of the following topics plus whatever groundwork questions you come prepared with (there is no riding during these clinics, only groundwork!):

— Concepts on the ground that transition to riding

— Controlling the horse’s body parts

— Teaching your horse to respond to “feel”

— Using body language to talk like a horse

— How to exercises the mind, not just the body

Learn what you can work on with any horse at any experience level to increase your level of lightness and communication, both in and out of the saddle. (Also works as a great safety pre-ride check before you mount or settling a distracted horse.)

COSTS: Participation in the 3 hour clinic costs $100. Bring a horse of any age or experience level (must be able to maintain safety and control the entire time, and no stallions please). Auditing is open to all and completely free, so feel free to bring your friends and fam along!

PARTICIPANT SPOTS in the clinic are limited to only EIGHT horse and handler teams. Your spot is reserved when you submit your registration purchase through this site, which is refundable in the form of future clinic credits up to one week before the clinic date. If tickets are sold out it means the list is full, but feel free to add yourself to the waiting list in the case a spot opens up, or look for another clinic day with spots left.

We try to foster an upbeat, fun-loving atmosphere that encourages everyone in their own unique journey with no pressure and plenty of laughs. Because as Justin would say: “this horse thing is too expensive NOT to be fun and rewarding.”
